bacelaw Posted February 24, 2023 Report Posted February 24, 2023 Hi all: does anyone have a picture of the trim (escutcheons) around interior door handles on a woodie wagon? I know on the sedans, there's a spring inside the door cards that pushes the trim tight against the door handle. But on the woodie's, the door cards are wood - so there's no place for the spring to hold the trim tight against the handle. Is there some sort of gasket or something on the woodie wagons? Thanks! Mezz Posted April 18, 2023 Report Posted April 18, 2023 Not sure what Plymouth did, but 41 and 42 Chrysler Town and Country used this cup and cover setup. Didn't have a set off the car but its similar to the 48 sedan I'm working on now which looks like this second pic. Quote
Bob Riding Posted April 19, 2023 Report Posted April 19, 2023 Here's the door from my '40. If I remember correctly, they were spring-loaded which allowed you to push it in enough to get pin out and remove the escutcheons. Quote
