My project did not have a voltage regulator when I purchase it.  I ordered a new one from DCM and they sent me an actual NOS regulator.  It says it is a 3 in 1? The box was falling apart from age but the regulator is new.  I was reading the literature/instructions that came with the regulator and it list it as being for a 1931-1940 Dodge truck (along with a large list of other vehicles of all makes and models) The latest model vehicle on the list is a 1940.  Should it be okay for my 1947?

I would suspect the part was probably manufactured in 1940 as for the reason the product application listings. Rock auto lists voltage regulators Standard Motor Products as their listing for use in 42-55 trucks and some 40's cars etc. So I would imagine that it should work for your application.

I would give DCM a call and check for sure.
