bkahler Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Some how I managed to accumulate 5 different front windshield sections for my 51 B3B. Unfortunately of those 5 sections I have 4 different profiles I can't tell if any of them are original pieces so I'm not really sure which one I should as a pattern. As near as I can tell none of them actually fit through the frame opening. Each of them has some kind of interference along an edge or a curve. I do know all of the sections came from pilot house trucks but I'm not sure what years (I don't think that should make a difference however). Any words of wisdom as to which section I should use as a pattern? Thanks! Brad Quote
MBF Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 I was told by a glass guy that glass gets brittle as it ages-so I don't know if they could be ground to fit or not. I may have a fogged sample that I could trace and mail to you-its the one I used for a pattern. The flat glass is cheap-I think I paid $25.00 for both halves about 6 yrs ago and the guy installed it for me! Let me know and I'll see what I can find over the weekend if you're still in need.
