got the sheet metal off front..followed you guys tips and came off pretty good....only thing is, it would have been much easier with 2 people....

I almost have everything disconnected to pull engine in the morning...

I am having problems figuring out how to disconnect brake and gas pedals as they are attached to the side of the trans.

I think I'll pull engine and trans all at once even though the manual says to remove transmission first...

I dropped the drive line from the rear end no problem..but it would slip out of yoke at rear of trans..would slide a few inches and stop..wondering if i should tap with hammer?

I bought engine stand today so i can clean it up really good and remove accesories.

I'm still debating wether or not to disassemble engine and take block, crank etc to machine shop for magnaflux and check all tolerances and then get the parts (probably rings, main bearings, rod bearings, oil pump, etc...and new gasket set and try to build myself..would be first time...so kinda leary..

Wondering how much extra machine shop charges to assemble engine..

Will post some pics when i have engine removed and everythign all clean and painted up..

thx for all the posts that are helping me to make this project successful.

Kevin, any chance you could snap some pictures of the inside of the fenders where the 2 Bolts/Studs are. Yours look like they are in good shape and while you have the front clip off we could see them a lot better. Thanks, Dutch
