Rivka Lela Reid
I hadn't seen this corner of p15-d24. So I joined this NY/New England group. But - is it moribund? Another good idea that didn't pan out? Put another way, is there anyone here? Any interest in events? I am also a member of the Colonial POC Region, but there too, it seems to be just holding on. I could host a small "cars and coffee" in Belchertown (just south of Amherst MA) if there is interest. Speak up if interested. On another note, I have proudly turned my own wrenches for many years but age, injury, and an ant infested driveway to work in has got me wishing there was any commercial shop in the area that has the skill and the will to do upkeep work on the car. You know, someone with a lift in a paved garage, hey? My name is Rivka - any interest or clues are welcome! I have a small hole in my oil pan and there is NO way I would drop the pan in the driveway. Trying to seal it with JB Weld but really needs to be removed and repaired right and I don't think I can handle it any more.
Mark D
This corner of the P15-d24 world doesnt seem often visited. But thanks for the poke and greetings from Bolton Mass. In the fall of 2020 we held the P15 Picnic in your back yard, too bad we didnt get you at that event, but we will be hosting again this in 2022 in Manchester NH. Your car looks like a solid driver and we would love to have you in attendance. Send me your email address and I will add you to the email blasts that we will be assembling in the next few weeks as we start the planning for September 2022. In the mean time Worcester seems to be a halfway point for both of us and we could put together a small p15 contingent for a spring dust off if you are interested! Drop me an email anytime; mark@rdusaclassics.com cheers, Mark
Oceanstate88
Hello, all...been on the site for a while but didn't know this club was here, glad I found it. I'm in Southern RI and I am working on a 230-powered 'Race Rod' 1933 Plymouth coupe. It is a surprise for my father (now 85), a replica of an asphalt short track car he used to run at Riverside, Plainville Stadium, and the Waterford Speedbowl back in the day (mid 50's), except I'm making it roadworthy so he can drive it on the street. I found what was left of an old dirt track race car out west (not much!), dragged it back and have been plugging away for two years. I've had some help and direction from the AoK/George Ashe gang (man they know their stuff) and by reading all of the good advice on this website. Hope to be fully up and running this summer, looking forward to the 'reveal' party with my Dad...he's going to be VERY surprised! Best to you all - Mike Edited January 26, 2022 by Oceanstate88 spelling
