My personal choice is some muffler cement a piece of sheet metal and large band clamp . As far as glass pack or original your choice, any decent muffler shop should be able help or you could try roberts or kanter for a mail order option

I have a nice, used, original Mopar muffler that I took off my 49 when I installed the dual system. You can have it, although the cost for shipping might make it impractical.

Hola Macon Ga. Person

If you want to be as correct as possible get the muffler from Toronto.

After that look for an muffler or resonator that has the same in-side diam as the in-side diam of the exhaust manifold. Have the exhaust pipe the same diam from the exhaust manifold to the rear tip. This will give you the power where the engine is set up for and the audio level will be OK too.

The original muffler is probably one of the flat, oval ones....

At least that''s what I had.

I replaced it with a new resonator which makes a little noise, but it's not

as nifty as a glasspack.

Any decent muffler shop should be able to get a stock style muffler, I would think.
