mike1130 Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 I've seen reference here to a B series parts manual or list? Specifically need B1B. How can I find it? Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Click on "Visit DPETCA" in the header on this page and then scroll down to Pilots Knowledge. You'll find this there thanks to Bob Koch. http://dodgepilothouseclub.org/know/ph_parts/pilothouse.htm Quote
mike1130 Posted October 12, 2007 Author Report Posted October 12, 2007 Thanks very much. Thats a huge help. I've got a 48 B1B that I recently bought and am trying to get it back on the road. Right now the flywheel /ring gear is exposed and I'm trying to find a cover for it. The parts manual(thx to you) shows this described as "flywheel housing pan" with all the necessary bolts listed. Now I know what I'm looking for and I can stop calling it a flywheel cover/bellhousing/whatchamacallit. Now all I have to do is find one someplace. You don't happen to have any ideas where I might look do you? Thanks very much for your help. Quote
Reg Evans Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Mike, Someone here or on the other forum might have one abailable. Any photos available of your 48 ? We'd all love to see it. When you get a chance fill out a profile too so we know a little more about you, your 48 and your location. Quote
mike1130 Posted October 13, 2007 Author Report Posted October 13, 2007 Thx for the suggestion. I updated profile and would be glad to post pictures but-like a lot of other things-I don' know how. The '48 is a good one and I plan to make it my daily driver after I after I give it the TLC freshening. It was born in Detroit, then went to Alabama, then Montana, spent 2 years in Wisconsin and I brought it to Minnesota this summer. Somewhere on that journey someone put a '41-'47 Dodge truck engine and 12 volt system with alternator in it. It sounds and runs strong and has no rust. Everyday I learn something new about it-I have a lot to learn. It has a good heater so I'll be driving it this winter. Quote
