Trying to find a starter for the 1947 DODGE pickup truck I acquired. Looks like an engine swap took place and it is missing the starter. I decoded the flat 6 and it is a 1952 Desoto backed by a 4 speed New Process transmission. The push button foot peg is still in the stock location. Are the starters all the same with the exception of the starter arm? It looks like I would need the starter arm that angles closer to the engine block to meet with the push button plunger face. Or do I need to count the ring gear teeth? Thank you in advance for your knowledge and time helping me with this dilemma.
