  1. I contacted Vic's Dodge Garage. I got a lot of parts and knowledge from Vic. Thank you though for offering to sell me a starter.
  2. Trying to find a starter for the 1947 DODGE pickup truck I acquired. Looks like an engine swap took place and it is missing the starter. I decoded the flat 6 and it is a 1952 Desoto backed by a 4 speed New Process transmission. The push button foot peg is still in the stock location. Are the starters all the same with the exception of the starter arm? It looks like I would need the starter arm that angles closer to the engine block to meet with the push button plunger face. Or do I need to count the ring gear teeth? Thank you in advance for your knowledge and time helping me with this dilemma. Wes
  3. Cordell Attached are three photos. I found a casing number on the side along with a drain hole plug location.
  4. Cordell thanks for responding I will check tomorrow morning and send ya a photo.
  5. Hi, I just bought a 1947 1/2 ton Dodge truck. A different Chrysler flat head 6 and manual transmission was installed to increase horse power from what was in it initially. I am trying to identify the transmission casting date of 9/9/54 case number C-89988, if reading it correctly. Below those numbers is a large embossed letter "H". All of these numbers etc. are on top of the transmission case. I attached a photo. I appreciate the knowledge someone may have in identifying this transmission. Thanks in advance. Wes
