Use 2 of these small Flowmasters instead of glass packs, and exit them straight back. On my car, it's a 2-into one 2 1/4" exhaust with a single Flowmaster way towards the back. Exits to the side. Some folks have said it sounds like a small v8 at idle. Fairly loud but not deafening on the road. I'll bet using two would sound real good. A local shop made up my exhaust from scratch, and with the cost of the single Flowmaster in there, it was $300 installed. With a Tee shirt:D Here's how the single fits. Should be good for a ticket or two. I have these mirrors for you. I notice one has a little ding on the edge. I thought you said I missed that pedestrian. Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Norm, that siren resembles the one I got at a swamp meet last year. Had to pay about $40 for the darn thing..... It is 6 volt and it works OK. Not the slickest looking thing I ever saw. Had to invent a bracket to hold it. But the people get a kick out of it. Have had the ooogah horn for several years. It kind of drags at first, but as the engine runs and charges the system, it speeds up. Think it's kinda worn out, but still works fairly well. Then I got this one the other day. It's supposed to just go "beep, beep". Haven't tried it yet. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 Speaking of mufflers, a fellow who owns a muffler shop in the area says he gets a good sound by using one pipe, and splitting it--then, using a pair of long mufflers. He named the brand--some kind he gets thru his business--that he thinks are good. I did not recognize the name, however, and did not commit it to memory (or what's left of it). Don't know the cost yet, but am considering this system. Quote
