Olddaddy Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 I was digging around last night looking for flywheel bolts and nuts for my 230 rebuild. It appears my bottomless supply of parts has a bottom. I need to locate 8 bolts, and nuts if anybody has a source. (Terrill and VPW don't have them) Quote
grey beard Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Charlie, If you can't find nice new stuff, let me know and I"ll dig mine out of the engine bolt box. These came off of a fluid drive convertor crank - there are eight of them - you can have for the postage. Regards Quote
PatS.... Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 I think I have a set of FD nuts and bolts in my '50 DeSoto parts car as well. Have a FD and fluid coupling as well as a clutch. Bunch of other stuff too from that car. Quote
Olddaddy Posted September 11, 2007 Author Report Posted September 11, 2007 Thanks to both of you for your offers of help, but I am an idiot. The reason I couldn't find them is that I had put them in a box in the back of my van. That way I could drop them off at the machinists on my way to work......eight nice new cosmolined bolts, with nuts, military surplus, right where I put them awhile back. Quote
martybose Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 No, you're not an idiot, you're just like the rest of us; forgetting where the neat (and perfectly logical!) place is that you put all of the good stuff in preparation for the next step of the metamorphosis. Darn, growing old is annoying! Marty, been there, done that ........... Quote
Guest jtw3749c Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 Hey Charlie how's the exhaust manifolds look on your engine? Have you put them on yet? Quote
