POPTOP Posted June 2, 2018 Report Posted June 2, 2018 (edited) WENT OUT TO CRANKUP THE 1949 TRUCK FLAT HEAD 218 WHEN IT FIRED UP THE THROTTLE STUCK WIDE OPEN TURNED IT OFF LESS THAN 5 SECONDS GOT OUT AND OPEN HOOD AND NOTICED WATER DRIPPING FROM THE BACK OF THE ENGINE CRAWED UNDER AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE REAR MAIN SEAL IS THERE A FREZZE PLUG AT THE REAR OF THE BLOCK COULD THE HEAD GASKET BLOW FROM THE HIGH RPMS OR COULD THE BLOCK CRACK MOTOR WAS COLD MOTOR WAS NOT HOT IT STILL CRANKS AND SOUNDS GOOD NO WATER IN THE OIL CANT SEE BECAUSE THE MOTOR SIT SO FAR BACK CANT GET A MIRROR BACK THERE ALOS I CHECK THE TEMP GAUGE WHERE IN GOS TO THR BLOCK ANY SUGGESTIONS THANKS Edited June 2, 2018 by POPTOP Quote
