Uberchin Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Hey guys, I am trying to reupholster the back deck behind the rear seats of my 1947 Chrysler Windsor and don't want to damage it by guessing. Does it just pull out or are there some hidden screws somewhere holding it in? I don't see anything holding it in from looking at it from the trunk. I'm at a loss but I shouldn't be this hard. Thanks Quote
casper50 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 My 47 had 7 or 9 push in buttons that held the fiberboard in place. I don't have any photos of them at the moment. Quote
Uberchin Posted December 9, 2017 Author Report Posted December 9, 2017 Do you recall how to get to the buttons and how to remove them? Do I just pry them out or pull them with a set of pliers? Quote
casper50 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 If you can see the heads just pry them up. I went into the trunk and pushed them up from underneath. Quote
casper50 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 You're welcome. I can take photos of my finished deck now if you need them. I just got home. Quote

That would be awesome. I'm trying to match my door panels but I can only get kinda close. Edited December 9, 2017 by Uberchin Pic Quote
casper50 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Looks as if I need to put my fasteners back in. Seems I forgot. Quote
