Is this a date code on my carburetor?

I get the 439s is the model. Have two carbs in hand. One follows with a C7, the other with a G6. Is this a month/year indicator?

I believe the G6 denotes a series of the 439s carb. Which means its the same carburetor, just denoting an engineering change.
