MackTheFinger Posted June 30, 2017 Report Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) People do a lot of things I wouldn't do.. Like I said, I only saw it done once and it ruined a good running motor. If I had a motor that sludged up I'd tear it down, clean it up, and replace whatever would likely already be shot from not being properly maintained. Anyone who's ever rebuilt a motor knows what kind of grit can be inside a lifter valley or under the valve covers. I can't see how thinning down and circulating a load of carboned up crap through a motor could do any good. Doing it "just because" seems pointless.
