jrhoads Posted June 25, 2015 Report Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) 12 Volt conversion and front disc brakes complete. This after a long winter of repairing floor pans, body braces and many other things.I know many of you have been there, but it wont be long till the old girl is on the road. BTW, I bought this last fall. Had I known how much work I was going to put into this, I probably would not have purchased it, and I have quit saving receipts long ago.. It is going to be my 16 year old sons first car. At least he can tell everyone that anyway... The old girl is growing on me and she has a new lease on life. Edited June 26, 2015 by jrhoads 4 Quote
Tatback Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Very very nice work. I'm sure once the work is done you wouldn't of had it any other way. The battle is what makes that first drive worth it. Once its finished and you start it for the first time, just sit for a minute and take it all in before taking it for a drive and just enjoy crossing the finish line. 1 Quote
deathbound Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Very nice, especially like the cloth braided wiring. Don't take this the wrong way, but I remove the plastic insulators(?) on the connectors before crimping & use heat shrink.....otherwise, looks beautiful. Your son will be proud to drive a car like this. Quote
jrhoads Posted June 26, 2015 Author Report Posted June 26, 2015 Yea. No worries, those will be redone. They were the first ones done in the horn area. I didn't do any like that on the firewall, but they will be re-crimped in due course Quote
