Oldguy48 Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) I just spent the afternoon shining up the Plymouth, after our trip to Ocean City, Md, for the big car show. Just under 500 miles, and for once the weather was cooperative for almost the entire time. (Wednesday till Monday 5-18). Just a couple of sprinkles on Sunday. One disturbing occurrence though. There was a simply beautiful red 1958 Oldsmobile convertible at the show, and someone posted a picture of it on Facebook after it was involved in an accident. No word on any injuries, but it was sad to see that gorgeous machine with a crumpled front end. Hopefully, everyone was OK. Wayne Edited May 22, 2015 by Oldguy48 1 Quote
William Davey Posted May 22, 2015 Report Posted May 22, 2015 Very sharp car, but what is the "scoop" below the front bumper? Quote
Oldguy48 Posted May 22, 2015 Author Report Posted May 22, 2015 After the SBC engine conversion, it needed a little more air flow to keep things cool at highway speeds. If never actually overheated, but the temp would get a bit higher than I liked to see it. The air scoop helped out. The temp never got over 195° on the Ocean City trip. Quote
