1941 P-12 Rear End U-Bolts

Hey All,

Does anyone know where I can get a set of rear end u-bolts for my P-12?

Andy Bernbaum doesn't have any, they don't know where to get a set, and couldn't recommend an alternate set.

So I am trying to find a NOS set, or find a cross number for another car/set.

All help greatly appreciated.

I had mine made locally in Santa Ana at a place called Deaver Spring. Any custom size you want. I think it cost me $40 for the rear end (4).

My '36-'42 Plymouth Master Parts List book shows part# 633897 for your '41 P12......to help broaden your search, same # listed for:

1936 P1/P2

1937 P3/P4

1938 P5/P6

1939 P7/P8

1940 P9/P10-different part# (858628)

1941 P11-same as 1940 P9/P10

1942 P14C/P14S-same as 1940 P9/P10 & 1941 P11

Trucks show a different part# also

As mentioned previously (and I'm sure you probably already know), any u-bolt for your diameter axle will work & can be cut to length. Only difference is, they probably won't have the "flattened" radius as it rounds the axle. I've seen a couple used sets on ebay, just not lately.

***EDIT*** Here are a couple on ebay local to you & look very similar:

Thanks everyone for the help, much appreciated!

I ended up sand blasting the set I have, painting them, and running a die down each threaded area.

They are a little pitted, but the threads cleaned up nicely and I think I'm just going to reuse them.

Thanks again!

Pick up the rebuilt rear end on Friday.  I am also having the drive shaft rebuilt with standard universal joints.

I have been claying the body over the last couple weeks.  While it won't look like a new paint job it sure looks

a lot better.

It's starting to come together...who knows, maybe I'll be driving her late this year or early next year...
