Hot Rod Hundred

Recommended Posts

I realize that it is kind of late but the Cross Members CC is putting on the Hot Rod Hundred this Saturday June 14th. There are two groups;

one starting in Denton, TX http://hotrodhundred.com/regional-events/north-texas-june-14-2014/

the other in Oklahoma City, OK http://hotrodhundred.com/regional-events/oklahoma-city-june-14-2014/

The Hot Rod Hundred is designed to bring back something that has been missing for the last few decades…..driving. The HRH is a 100 mile long trek along the forgotten 2 lane highways. The event is geared at traditional hot rods and customs pre-1972.

Approx. every 20 miles we will have a stop to draw a card and let the group catch up. There will be 4 stops on the run and you will draw the last card at the final destination. The run will conclude at The Pecan Grove Picnic Area, Lake Murray State Park, Ardmore, OK. Bring some charcoal, a few burgers and don’t forget your family. Spend the day hanging out. Bring some red meat…grill out….be American.

This is a family friendly event, so all are welcome. Plan on spending the day in the park. There are tons of things to do and this is a no pressure event. Drive your hot rod or custom out and enjoy hanging out with other gear heads . Bench race, look at other guys cars, no schedules to keep, no pressure. Just enjoy yourself.

With the group from North Texas and Central Oklahoma ending up at the same place. This will give you a chance to see some cars and meet some hot rodders that don’t normally attend your local events.

This is gonna be epic.
