hkestes41 Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 What particular information are you looking for on the disc swap with stock master cylinder? That is the set up that I am currently running. Quote
t-bag Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 Did you change your brake lines to 3/16 tubing or keep 1/4. didn't know if system would work as good with stock m/c, they try to sell you a dual m/c. Also are you still used a metering valve along with a 2lb. and a 10lb, residual valve as they instruct. Quote
t-bag Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 Thank you for your help uploading the picture... Dave Quote

I ordered a preformed set of hardlines from inlinetube.com. I am still using the stock metering valve and both a 2lb and 10lb residual valves. The discs are right up there with the overdrive as the best changes I have made to the car. Quote
deathbound Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) I'm sure there are others, but here is a link to my thread documenting my front disc brake conversion (with a few other things): http://p15-d24.com/topic/26625-new-front-disc-brakes-front-end-rebuild-steering-rebuild-for-the-38-plymouth/ EDIT: After re-reading my thread, I noticed I never updated it after my last post. The only thing was I changed from 1/4" lines to 3/16" lines. Just noticed you have a '37, so everything should be very similar to my '38. Edited January 26, 2014 by deathbound Quote
t-bag Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 Thanks for the info. I didn't know they had a metering valve back then, it must be that block on the side of the frame. I to have the 5 speed conversion from Paul Curtis and it sure makes the car a lot more fun to drive. Now with the disc brake conversion it should stop much better to. Quote
