I've read of several guys on this forum who have converted their one wire parking lamps to two filament park/signal lights. My question is how this can be done unless you can change out the entire socket. A two point disc and pigtail could be put into a one wire socket hut the index slot and tit would be missing that keeps the contacts indexed in the socket. Am I missing something here?

I did this to my B2B. You're right about the socket. It knocks out fairly easy - just put it on something klike a vise or some boards to lift it up a little. It must be just soldered in. Here's a pic of the two sockets out.

Then, using a new two-prong socket from your local auto parts house, solder the new one in. I used JB Weld and it didn't work because JB won't conduct a current. I had to grind a little away and put a few drops of solder on it (the housing is the ground when you screw it in to the nose).

On my B-3-B I replaced the one wire pigtail in the socket with a two wire pigtail from Robert's and used a 1158 bulb it is a dual filament bulb with the pins straight across from each other instead of staggered. The 1158 is a 6-volt bulb.

I did the same thing with my B3B, worked great on all 4 corners:cool:
