Guest jtw3749c Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 I have a 53 Dodge B3B. I needed a bell Housing and got one. I had my old transmission (4 spd w/granny gear) and wanted to put it back in the truck, BUT the bolt pattern for the trans to mount is for the smaller trans bolt pattern. So unless I drill holes for it I have to use a 3 spd. My question: I have a 1958 Plymouth 3 spd w/OD and was wondering if it would work for my truck. Meaning, is the pilot shaft to long, short or just right? I think it measures around 44 -48 inches total length, somewhere in there. Pic attached Thanks, JT Quote
Reg Evans Posted May 25, 2007 Report Posted May 25, 2007 I can measure a pilot shaft on a 4 speed granny with synchro if that will help. Quote
