ID or vin number plate (new)

HiGuys,

My ID or vin number plate on my 1947 plymouth convertible is damaged and I would like to replace it with a new one, if I can find one. Anybody know where new vin plates can be bought? I would also like the red plate on the firewall ,Thank you , Mike Wagnon

Hi Mike. I presume you're speaking of that little rectangular plate on the door frame....probably on the drivers side. Can you still read your numbers?? Someone is making reproductions of that red ova tag....maybe someone has that info. l

the numbers on my tag are good.The tag was removed roughly,stretched and distorted.I thought someone may know a guy who does this type of work,

I now have the P-15 style firewall tags but hadn't thought about the serial # tags. Might be an idea for the next production run along with the distributor tags.
