Rodney Bullock Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 I took the 1940 out today after changing the battery and the positive cable. I had the battery guy make me annew cable yesterday because my old one was a bit to short. I drove the car all over southern Maryland and it started very quick and run great. I ahve not had a day with the old Plymouth like this in a long time. Listening to the radio (am/fm) 6volt converter and driving in the country was good therapy. I even cut the grass down at the old place. I did my work and as a reward got some ice cream, felt like the beatles though had to run to the car and clear out before all the fans got to me, just want some time with the car. The motor, the radio, the wheels on the road. Quote

Don Coatney Posted November 4, 2006 Report Posted November 4, 2006 Rodney; Glad you got your electrical problems sorted out. This morning I went to DC and paid a visit to the Vietnam memorial wall. I last visited the wall in the late 1980's. My visit today was as emotional as my first visit. While stationed in the army at Camp Stewart Georgia in 1966 I met a guy named Larry Fullaway. We became good friends and went to Vietnam with the same unit. This is all that is left of him. Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted November 5, 2006 Author Report Posted November 5, 2006 Don, those shots are great I don't understand how your pic's get in and mine are so called "to big" I must be doing something wrong. Here is a test. I see what you did the test was a success. Quote
Chester Brzostowski Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Don, A good friend of mine through grade school & high school enlisted right after graduation and came back 18 months latter without either leg. His fiancé drifted away and so did he. A couple of years latter he OD’d on drugs. Very sad war. I was lucky.., I spent 2 years at White Sands New Mexico after I was drafted in 1970. Maybe some day we can figure out a better way of solving our differences. Chet... Quote
