Actually, it doesn't matter how many rings the guy puts in, it takes the same amount of force to move a piston with one ring as a piston with several. Law of friction. But . . . like a lot of things, it's possible to improve most anything somewhat, but to what end? When the cars were new and used daily everybody got ten years between rebuilds. Why complicate? If there is merit to this idea (and I'm not knocking it, it looks good to me) it would seem to be for a car that is NOT used daily, like a lot of ours. But that's a lot of expense for the result.
