alteredpilot Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) I posted a while back for some stuff that i needed for my 48. i got a PM from BIll who had most of what i needed. he lives not too far down the road so i went down to pick the stuff up this morning. now, i've been doing this my whole life, but this is my first p15. Bill took the time to explain a bunch of stuff and show me all the cool details on his car, gave me some great references, let me crawl under it and take some much needed measurements. i'll never lose appreciation for a guy taking his time to show and explain, when he coulda just put the stuff in a shipping box and let me figger it out for myself. Thanks Bill, and all the other guys on the board who have been so very helpful. Great People, Great cars, Great board. Edited November 11, 2012 by alteredpilot Quote
40P10touring sedan Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 We're here to help, and alot of folks do just that for others. Some folks don't realize that this may be another's 1st "old" car and that we{the asker/buyer} might be just used to newer 60's and 70's model cars....there are those who understand this and help out...the Po of my car took the time to point out to me what was what and why{was a good start but just the tip of the needed knowledge iceberg-lol}. I thank them all as well! Quote
mrwrstory Posted November 11, 2012 Report Posted November 11, 2012 Thanks for the kind words, Mitch. I call it "reverse giving". There's certain satisfaction in giving whether it be tangible or abstract stuff. Those who give, also receive when a gift is accepted. Maybe a little heavy but, heart felt This is indeed a great forum! Quote
