BobT-47P15 Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 (edited) Today I FINALLY brought home the last load of "stuff" in the mini storage.... all of which goes into the newly completed detacged garage. Feels good not to have to drive the 12 miles one way to get to the storage place. The owner was helpful earlier on in getting me into a couple of his larger units so I could combine things strung around in other small units....in two additional towns. The ol 05 Dodge Grand Caravan hauled everything fine.....just took a number of trips. Had the contractor build me a work bench (on the right) - not that I do all that much work, but is a handy place to tinker. I can store tool boxes and such on the shelves below. You can see that the new metal frame shelves (from Sams Club) are pretty full already. Will have to go thru each container to see just what's in there as stuff simply got tossed into boxes, etc after the storm. And there is still more in the attached garage. When I get everything organized, I can even bring out the laptop to read the forum (wireless router) and stay toasty warm thanks to that heater hanging up there. One of these days the Plymouth will return and get to reside here. It's been windy a lot here in Joplin the past several months. I had a storm door installed.....guess I didn't get it latched good one evening.... the wind whipped it open, kind of bent it around the corner of the building, and warped it enough I had to have it replaced. BobT-47P15 Posted October 28, 2012 Author Report Posted October 28, 2012 Hi Chance. 24 x 32. Seems big at first, but getting smaller already with the "valuable junque" creeping in. It replaces 3 storage buildings we had plus all things that were in our attached garage also will go there. The new att garage is about 6 feet narrower than the old..... Having some shelves built in the attached garage, but it just isn't as large as the original one. Fortunately there was enough insurance money to be able to have it built. Quote
adam_knox Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 Looks nice! Won't be long until your car, like all dominant species, marks its territory with a few drips of oil on the floor! Quote
