Dennis_MN Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 During my ordering for detailing the engine compartment, I ordered the little rubber dust seal thingies that slip on the clutch and brake petals. The car guys comment that to put them on just remove the foot portion of the petal but my truck has welded foot petals. I thought removing the petals would be a piece of cake but to be on the safe side, I did a search of previous posts for pictures and comments before I started. Greybeard really caused me to stop in my tracks, He said that was the hardest project to tackle with the cab on. So I added copious amounts of vaseline and forced them on the foot portion and then down the shaft. It worked! Reminds me of the newlyweds who didn't know the difference between vaseline and putty.... all of their windows fell out. Dennis Sullivan Quote
