Sears Craftsman Compressor Safety Recall

Hey you Guys, anyone purchase any of the sears compressors built from July 2003, until June 2011. Safety notice in effect, for compressor motors overheating. They send you out a free repair kit, i think they should recall all the suspect compressors, if they were smart.

The following models are the suspected units.

-30 gal vertical compressor 919-724300

-30 gal vertical compressor 919-724321/2

-33 gal horizontal compressors 919-724500

-33 gal horizontal compressors 919-724591

-20 gal horizontal compressors 919-724701

I have a 30 gal upright unit, they work okay, but would not ever buy another oilless compressor again, too dam noisy..

Thanks for posting that, Fred. I think you and I have pretty much the same compressor. I'll have to check the number on mine. Haven't been using it much lately but have heavy use planned in the future.
