Does anyone know whether the 1941 Plymouth Grille clips that hold the stainless grille bars onto the sheetmetal are similar to 1940 Chrysler?.......I know this seems like an odd request but here in Oz neither car is common, in fact I have only seen one 1940 Chrysler in 40 yrs.......and didn't note the grille.......lol.......ideally if you have a pic from a 1940 Chrysler parts book that would be nice........lol................I have a 1941 Plymouth so can check that part of the equation but Mick Kelly my mate who needs this info is 1500kms away & doesn't have any grille clips on his 1940 Chrysler, nor does he know for certain what they should look like.... so this is all we can do.......thanks, andyd

Andy, if his grill trim has studs attached to it, some small nut like this

one offered on ebay might work. (I think my P15 stainless has studs

and nuts....been a while since I worked with it.)

I looked on ebay under 1940 Chrysler.

Bob, thanks for that but it seems that the 1940 Chrysler and my 1941 Plymouth both use clips that "clip" onto the sheetmetal stamping, still trying to find a clear pic of the 1940 Chrysler clips........lol.........Mick doesn't actaully have any of the stainless moldings at all, nor does he have the clips, he has seen them listed on USA ebay but always without the clips, yet each time he has tried to get so called correct clips for the 1940 Chrysler he gets the runaround by vendors and no definate answer that whats being sold is the right thing, only that "it should work" and 10000miles is a long way to get something purely on spec.......lol......andyd
