I have a 48 Plymouth that I took the steering tube out of to replace the steering jacket bushing and now I need to know how to adjust the gear shift to the right gear in the transmission. The linkage is all hooked back up but my gear shift lever on the column is way off. First gear is way to low and the reverse is way to low if you know what I mean. How do I set it right and how do I know if I am in the right gear on transmission. Replaced the clutch and main seal so everything was disconnected. Need to know how to set the lever assembly.

Any help or pictures would be helpful,

Thanks in advance,

Larry
