Heater blower

Hi gents

My D34's heater blower is pretty asthmatic, barely making any wind even in the second speed setting.

My car is still 6 volt, is this normal or should i be looking at checking the brushes?

Also how would i get to the motor? Do I need to remove the grille?

The old motors that I have seen have small ports for oiling the bearings or bushings . Perhaps someone else can help with your other questions .
