Smokeybear Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Hi all, I'm going to re-do my factory seat in the 48 bizzy coupe. In the meantime I'm going to install a seat from a junkyard. I need some dimensions to go look for. Has anyone measured their seats and if so could you post up the dimensions for me. My original seat is so bad it is going to be a long battle getting it rehabed and by the way it sits (sags waaaay to much) I don't think I could get a reasonable measurement for it. Thanks in advance. Quote
Rusty O'Toole Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 For your purpose the only dimension that matters is the overall width. If the seat fits in the body you should be able to make it work. I suggest you look for a seat that is about 3 or 4 inches narrower than the distance between the door posts. You will need to build it up to get it high enough. Or maybe an SUV will have a tall seat. They make some nice SUVs with leather upholstery and power seats. The problem is getting a seat that folds forward that is not a bucket seat. Don't know what kind of vehicle might have such a thing these days. Quote
mrwrstory Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Plymouth Reliant or Dodge Aries. They had 2 door models so the back folds forward. The seat is perfect. I'd measure mine (after the weekend ) if that helps - Quote
