On my 55 Fargo 1/2 ton, the leaf spring spacers are over 3 inches thick, keeping the back up real; high.

Any idea, what thickness of leaf spring spacer is correct?

I figure about an inch, might be more in spec. Why did anyone use such a thick spacer, was it for more load/weight allowance, before bottoming out the truck....thanx Fred

here is a before and after of mine...before with the three inch spacers you speak of, and after with the spacers out, and 2 leafs removed all the way around...mine did not bottom out at all in this configuration, just had to center the steering wheel again...and in my opinion looks way better
