Success! The last show pic!

I finally got a picture of the last car at the Coquille Firemans Picnic and car show. I had taken pictures of all the cars except one because there were too many people around it. I didnt get back to it later like I had planned. I finally got over to their house to work on their computer this last week. It gave me a chance to take a couple of shots of the truck while its in its peaceful winter slumber. Hibernating till the days are dryer and the air is warmer.

But watch out for the hungry beast when it awakes. Its 500+ Cubic inch engine with automatic and 4.11s will be eating some asphault and hi-test.

Yeah. Thats why I wanted to get a pic of it and get it posted up here to share. Its a 47 according to the owner. It is on a GMC delivery truck chasis but highly modified. It also has a tilt cab and moulded hood. The hood got joined to the body because he kept scratching everything taking it off and puting it on. Only real drawback is that he had to put a special door on top of the cowl to get to the master cylinder. To get to that you have to remove the grill. Hmmm. I guess they all have their quirks. The thing is amazing looking. I wish I had gotten some pics of it out in the open in the sun last summer. Summer will be here soon and maybe I can get some decent pics of it. They live about 2 miles down the road from me.

Wow !....that's what I wanted to do to mine except I was just going to put the cab on a 3/4 ton chassis and retain the 251 flat 6. The bad economy got in the way and I sold it instead.

The one Barry ,of Storage Wars drives, is a 38-39 Ford.
