Larry Ciganek Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Does anyone have a diagram of the vacuum lines to raise and lower the top on a P-15. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Well, I should have drawn a diagram of those vacuum lines on the P15... but for some reason did not do it. A line from the vacuum wiper system - to the push/pull switch on the dash. Two lines (I used copper tubing) from the switch to under the rear seat. Then.....I forget which things go where. The basic idea is that vacuum is applied to the connectors on the bottom of the cylinders to pull the top down. Then the vacuum, when the knob is pushed in, goes thru the connectors on the top of the cylinders....to pull the top up. If that process makes any sense. Each cylinder rod has a pump cup affair attached to the end, to which the vacuum is applied. Quote
Desotodav Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I looked up one of my car manuals for you Larry and came up with the attached. I hope the photos help - I'm more into the truck side of things but have a few extra manuals. Desotodav Quote
Jim Benjaminson Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I've got a drawing for a '39 - can't be too much difference. If you want a copy, drop me line.... Quote
