Andydodge
I was going through a few things the other day & found a few old pics.........the square colour pic with the front & rear cut off is one of the earliest(late 1971) pics of my 1940 Dodge........and the colour is pretty accurate.......does anyone know whether this had a corresponding shade and ideally a name in the USA?.........this sort of info is impossible to find here in Oz......then the black & white pic(mid1972) shows it with the front clip off. The shot of the rear is from early 1975 showing the rear fenders getting 2" of metal hammer welded into the fenders front to back.......I was keen back then...lol.....And the last pic shows the 1948 Chrysler Windsor 4dr sedan I bought for $75.00( around 1973/74) and sold 18mths later for $200.00.......these were/are very rare in Oz, there was supposedly around 12-18 imported for Govt use.....this one was virtually rust free, everything worked including the clock and it had the Highlander upholstery.........it came with a few spares such as 4 tailights, a couple of grille bits, one side wisker ended up being sent to Rock a member of this forum........and a pic of the Dodge as it is now.......parked in front of my shop...........andyd
