Since my truck didn't have even the remains of a firewall pad I don't have a clue how one would have been fastened to the firewall.

Can someone give me a clue on how they were fastened and what type of hardware is involved?

Thanks,

Brad

The firewall pad is held is place with push-in fasteners that go through the pad and into holes in the firewall, Restoration Specialties has them, item # 1790 @ 75 cents each or item # B925 @ 1.25 for thicker pads. Byron

Byron:

Thanks for the info. I had found in the factory parts manual that it calls for 12 fasteners but there was no clue given as to what they were.

I really appreciate the help :)
