Rodney Bullock Posted November 10, 2011 Report Posted November 10, 2011 I went down to the garage today and put POR-15's version of gas stablizer in my cars. I hope everyone puts some in their cars for the winter. I have read all the horror stories about the gas and how it hurts our cars so please make sure your Mopar is safe from all this "Chemical technology" protect it from the varnish. Please make sure you have antifreze in there as well. I think I will drive my cars one more month and then put these cars I have close to me to rest. The one good thing I did this summer was I fixed all my cars. Going into the winter all my little automobles are in great working order. The Studebaker was the last. Quote
captden29 Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 i recently heard that 92 octane fuel has very little ethanol in it. even if it says 10% it is much lower than that. if that is true then filling up with that and running it through with some gas stabilizer is a good way to winterize the fuel system. of course, gas with no ethanol is better if you can get it. capt den Quote

Harvey Tank Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 I filled my 50 P20 with non ethonal and added Lucas addative works for me Quote
Robert Horne Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 I use the Lucas treatment in my fuel, for all my vehicles, but not in every fill up. I do not "store" any of vehicles, car, cycle, mowers, for the winter. There is always a sunny day here and there to run them..... Quote
