I have just purchased a '53 Fargo FP1-08, which is the Canadian equivalent of the Dodge B4B. The truck is in good shape but has 14" rims and tires. The rest of the truck is very close to original so I am looking for a set of original wheels to replace the present rims or a set of new rims if any exist. As I am new to truck restoration I don't know where to begin looking for a set either in Canada or the US and am wondering if someone can give me a lead on where to start.

I will have the rims powder coated. I am planning on using the 215/85/16 tires as that seems to be the generally recommended size for this size of truck.

This looks like a great forum so you will be hearing more from me as I proceed. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. I live near Winnipeg, Manitoba which is directly north of North Dakota.

I would appreciate if you could measure your rims to see if they are 15" or 16". What do you mean by 4 1/2 bolt pattern. The bolt pattern on my truck is a 5 bolt pattern. I could send you a photo of what mine look like with the 14" rim on it. I can't show it with the rim off as I haven't received the truck yet. Thanks, Lyle

Dale - From the photos I have I would say it is a 4.5" diameter bolt pattern but I will get Greg, where the truck is now stored, to measure it just to make sure. I will let you know. Please let me know if the rims are 15" or 16" in diameter. Thanks, Lyle
