I just put a 3.21 rearend out of 73 dodge pickup in my B4B. I have 235-75-15 radial tires. Runs and handles great. Now I can BUZZ down the road. Only trouble is I have no idea how fast I am buzzing because speedometer is so far off. Does anyone know if I could put speedometer gear out of any Dodge or Plymouth in my transmission?

Couple of options here. I have no exerience swapping speedo gears with these Dodge trans, but it was a drop-in on Fords. Another option is to go to a truck parts counter and get a speedo reducer box - just a tad bigger than a padlock - that opens up and lets you change gears inside till you get it right. It goes in series in your speedo cable at either end. Quite easy to use, but don't know what they cost. They're used on larger trucks to correct for wheel/tire/rear ratio variations, and are quite common. JMHO

Only had to move the spring mounts a little. Rearend I got didn't have brake drums so I bought new drums, wheel cylinders and return spring set. Have about $150 in it. brakes are bigger and easier to adjust. Universal was same size.

Has anyone swapped in a full floating rear to replace the 6 bolt 3/4 & 1 ton factory rear? What fit, and what needed to be done. Cruising at 42 mph tends to p1ZZ off the folks behind you! Mike
