convert from 1955 3 speed to od, which one fits?

Hi, As my 3 speed transmission has a broken synchroniser and broken bearing, I'm considering building in an OD unit instead. Does anyone know what type will fit my car, is there only one type or do more types fit?

If you get a Plymouth OD transmission from years 1952 to 1955 in should fit and work. These transmissions used a Borg warner R 10 overdrive unit. If you have a 12 volt system in your car, get 1956 to 1958 OD setup because they are a 12 volt setup. Get only the transmission with OD and not just the OD section.

If you can not get 12 volt....6 volt will still work....built ram tough

Run 12 volts on my 41 with 6 volt OD
