Dale Uhrich Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 does anyone know a part number for the back u joint on a 1948 b1b truck? the one right next to the rearend. the u joint presses in from both ways with bolted cross locks to hold it together. how about a number for the pitman end that attaches to the steering box. It looks like a tierod end. Quote

Dale, did anyone provide you with the part numbers you needed? I am interested in the pitman end you requested a number for. Mine seems to be very loose as pointed out by the tire-place mechanic when I had my tires serviced. Quote
Dale Uhrich Posted April 3, 2007 Author Report Posted April 3, 2007 I was instructed that the rod from the steering to the right wheel is called a drag link and is not repairable. I was able to salvage one from my 1 ton parts truck to repair my 1/2 ton. Quote
