47heaven Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 ...the exterior ring nut that screws onto the wiper arm assembly that sticks through the cowl into the chrome housing that holds it in to the cowl got lost in the acid vat when it was being chromed. I'm having the hardest time trying to find a replacement...even a nut big enough to fit, yet thin enough to get by for the time being. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get one of these ring nuts or maybe have an extra or two laying around to sell? Hopefully, I'm explaining this part correctly, since I don't know the technical name for it. I tried to snap a pic, but my downloading software is messed up. Quote
47heaven Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 28 hits on this post and no one on here knows anything about these? Come on, guys. BTW...I did find some nuts from the Early Ford store near where I live that I bought that will work for the time being, but they aren't the round ring type. Quote
47heaven Posted March 28, 2007 Author Report Posted March 28, 2007 One of these?? Yes! That's it! Is that an extra or one you are using? Quote
1947PLEVY Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 Darin: I'll see what I have on the old parts car, I'm sure I have it. Still pretty much complete.. Just been cutting sheet metal out of it and putting in the other. God Bless... John 47Plevy Quote
