lugnut123 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 My buddy bought a 57 power wagon, 4x4 with duals. it's civilian I think. It has a 200 on the fender. Where would the truck ID plate be at? I looked in the door jams and on the firewall. It has a few layers of paint so It makes it hard to find. thanks Quote
Reg Evans Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I think in 57 there was a paper id tag in the glove box. Most are long gone. Try the frame rail above the drivers front wheel. Quote
Reg Evans Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 The 200 designation on the fender makes it a 3/4 ton and the model number,if it's a 4 x 4 will start with a W. Here's a 57 W200 with a pick up box. Quote
townwagon Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Go to this link to see a picture of the number on the frame, and other details about serial numbers on 1957 Dodge trucks. http://townwagon.com/pgpws/serialnumbers.htm There are lots of pictures of the 1957 W200s on that site as well. I would be interested in seeing pictures of your friends truck if he was willing to share them. I collect all the images I can of 1957-60 W100, W200, W300, and W500 trucks. Eric Quote
HanksB3B Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 that is any Dodge Pickup past 54 but that 57 is impressive and good looking for sure! Hank Quote
lugnut123 Posted March 1, 2011 Author Report Posted March 1, 2011 That old truck would be a w200 .with the pickup bed. It has the v8 engine. I think in the old lassie show on tv . Timms dad had a w200. Quote
