My buddy bought a 57 power wagon, 4x4 with duals. it's civilian I think. It has a 200 on the fender. Where would the truck ID plate be at? I looked in the door jams and on the firewall. It has a few layers of paint so It makes it hard to find. thanks

I think in 57 there was a paper id tag in the glove box. Most are long gone. Try the frame rail above the drivers front wheel.

The 200 designation on the fender makes it a 3/4 ton and the model number,if it's a 4 x 4 will start with a W.

Here's a 57 W200 with a pick up box.

Go to this link to see a picture of the number on the frame, and other details about serial numbers on 1957 Dodge trucks.

There are lots of pictures of the 1957 W200s on that site as well.

I would be interested in seeing pictures of your friends truck if he was willing to share them. I collect all the images I can of 1957-60 W100, W200, W300, and W500 trucks.
