Dennis Hemingway Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 When I bought my trim rings the older guy at the counter told me to bend the little metal tabs out before I put them on. He said that they get bent down due to the way that they are packed for shipping. Dennis:cool: Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Have bent out the tabs on many a wheel cover and trim ring....just go easy and evenly all around. If still not tight enough, go again till satisfactory. I usually use a screwdriver to pull against the crimped edge of the clip that contacts the rim. Use the edge of the wheel cover as a leverage point. Quote
Brad Lustig Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Maybe comparing apples and oranges, but I have 215/75-R15 wide whites from Coker on my '48 D24. Probably buy from diamond back next time around. My speedo reads about 2mph fast at 60mph according to my gps. My modern cars read about 3mph fast at 60, so my Dodge's speedo is more accurate! If I recall correctly, the original tires were 7.10x15s on my D24 Quote
