new oil pan?

Recommended Posts

it seems i need a new oil pan for the truck, as this one seems to be weeping from everywhere below the bottom sump area. does anybody know where to get a new or NOS one? VPW only has used, for $55 each. i have a hard time buying something used i cant even see a picture of, especially for $55.

I have this pan from my 50 Plymouth. I had some repairs done to it,it is very solid except for a very, very tiny pin hole by the drain plug. I circled it so it can be found to be welded. The pin hole is so minor, I drove with it for a long time without even seeing a drip. Let me know if this would work for you.

I have an extra pan in my garage. It came with the truck when I got it.

I can't vouch for the condition. It doesn't look like it would have any issues, but it can be yours for the cost of a box and shipping ( I don't have anything in the garage I can pack it in...I'll try to find something free though first.)

I can fill it up with something to see if it leaks. I don't really have anything around here to use except water (but I'd clean it up and spray it with WD40 after emptying it).

If you're interested, PM me and I'll get some pictures. I don't remember it being dented at all...just a bit rusty colored.
