randroid Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Folks, I am not soliciting opinions about whether or not the 'ground zero mosque' should or should not be built, but rather I have made an observation about it that may put a lid on the obsessive banter that's been tossed around ad infinitum ad nauseum. Look at the architect's rendition of the facade and to the right of it is a drab building with a fire escape. Looking back at the facade you'll see two lines rising at about 15 degrees to the left from the windows on the top two floors of the drab building, and it's these lines that caught my attention because they're about the only straight lines on the facade. In the middle of these two straight lines there is formed a 'Sapphire Rose', the Star of David (leaning at a slight angle to the right), and it's probably 12-15' across. There are more, cruder renditions of the same symbol scattered across the facade but the one I pointed out is the clearest and most unmistakable. Who would be able to criticize a world renown Muslim mosque resplendent in the symbol of Judaism? Do you think the Middle East states might ease their tensions toward each other if it were built exactly as depicted? I hope my observation does not spark comment or commentary other than about the irony of it being unmistakably there and I'm pointing it out for no reason than I'm a cynical and sarcastic old f**t who enjoys making light of man's foibles. -Randy Quote
martybose Posted October 15, 2010 Report Posted October 15, 2010 Sorry Randy, but this post has absolutely nothing to do with our Mopars, and I don't think we should get into this kind of crud (self-censored). Marty Quote
randroid Posted October 15, 2010 Author Report Posted October 15, 2010 Folks, Sorry to have offended anyone with this post. I thought it to be funny or at least had a touch of irony and wanted to share it, that's all. I knew when I posted it that it had nothing to do with old Mopars, which is why it was labeled "Off Topic", but I suppose that's just too subtle for some. Best to you all. -Randy Quote
