Has anybody changed the motor in their pilot house truck to something a bit more <ahem> modern?

If so, what did you use for a radiator. I would some options for the new V8 going into the Fargo I have - the old original Dodge radiator is shot.

i didnt change the motor, but i did chance the radiator. i used a 65' mustang radiator with some brackets, its shorter and narrower, making brackets much easier to use. MAKE SURE THE CAP IS OFFSET.

I changed mine out and used a universal fit Jegs 555-52015 and it just fit in side the orginal radiator support. I had to make all my mounts with 1/4 inch rubber pads in the supports. I also bought the fan shourd (absolute must have) Jegs 52061 and then installed a Spall fan (2200 cfm) as well. I have not tried the set up yet, but looks like it should be enought for my engine combination. I had to change the lower out let to a 90 degree bend and then curved the hose under the belt to the water pump inlet. I have no photo of it, but it turned out good. I also had to add a drain bung and temp sensor bung as well. I see the new ones now come with a drain bung already install for the same price I paid. The photos show the lower out let pointed directly at the power sterring pump. Some photos I found:

See - that's what I'm talking about. No need to reinvent the wheel because other people have been there and are willing to share their knowledge.

Thanks guys!

Anyone else?

I'm thinking of using a Jeg's - funny you would bring that up McKinney. Thx again.
